Christopher Anderson completed Touro Colleges PA program in 2010. He then went on to complete the postgraduate residency in surgery at Montefiore Medical Center. From there he went on to work at Jacobi Medical Center in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit where he began to gain a passion in caring for injured patients and the critically ill. After a short time, he was recruited to start a Trauma service at Northwell Health's Southside Hospital. While at Southside Hospital, he was able to build a team of PAs and NPs and design program that quickly enabled them to become the third center verified by the American College of Surgeons. He was promoted to the Asst Director of PAs at Southside Hospital, with expansion to redesigning the surgical services covered by advanced practice providers. He helped integrate a surgical residency program into the Department of Surgery and eventually created a formal surgical critical care service. Also while at Southside, he became involved in growing the Trauma programs for the Eastern Region at Huntington Hospital and Peconic Bay Medical Center. In September of 2016 he moved on to NYU Langone Health to take on a new role created as the Assistant Director for PA Services. In this role he plans to help expand the role of PAs at NYU especially in the areas of Surgery and Critical Care. In his free time, Chris enjoys to cook, travel and beginning to get into running. He is also pursuing his MBA from Hofstra University in Health Services Management.
