PLATFORM:

I am seeking your vote to serve as your representative in the House of Delegates.  The Physician Assistant profession continues to find itself in a state of flux. We are flexible and changeable yes, and this (as well as our famously collaborative training model) has always been to our advantage.  This flexibility has allowed our profession to grow to greater than 110,000 practicing Providers strong, represented now in every facet of patient care.

Our next change has been outlined in the Optimal Team Practice policy adopted by the AAPA in 2017 thanks to the hard work of dedicated and forward thinking representatives from state chapters across the country - including our own New York State. OTP is a better reflection of the training, education and level of  care that we provide to our patients and recognizes the value that PAs bring to medicine.

I want to continue to represent NYS PAs in this setting of ongoing change and forward momentum.  As I continue to support and represent PA practice in my own hospital system, I hope you will allow me the opportunity to represent you to our peers and be your voice in the chorus of change.

Thank you.
